# Land Protection

### Claim Tool

The main item used for claiming land is the **Golden Hoe**.

You can get one by:

* Crafting it with gold ingots
* Claiming the `/kits trainer` kit

### Using the Golden Hoe

Holding the Golden Hoe will display how many **claim blocks** you currently own.

Claim blocks determine how much land you can protect.

### Earning More Claim Blocks

You can get more claim blocks by:

* Voting daily with `/vote`

### How to Claim Land

To create a claim:

1. Hold your Golden Hoe
2. Right-click the first corner
3. Right-click the opposite corner

This will create a protected rectangular area between both points.

Everything inside the claim is protected and belongs to you.

### Managing Claim Permissions

To edit permissions inside your claim, use:

```bash
/flan menu
```

From the menu, open:\
`Edit Permissiongroups`

Here you can assign different roles with their own permissions.

#### Default Roles

**Co-Owner**

Players in this role have almost complete access, including:

* Building and breaking blocks
* Accessing containers
* Editing claim permissions

**Visitor**

Visitors have limited access by default, but you can modify their permissions however you like.

### Adding Players to a Role

1. Stand inside your claim
2. Run `/flan menu`
3. Open `Permissiongroups`
4. Select the role you want to edit
5. Enter the player's exact Minecraft username

#### Removing a Claim

To delete a claim, stand inside it and use:

/flan delete
```
