# Fishing Hunts

Participate in Fishing Hunts to capture targets for Pokecoins! `Type /fhunts to see your targets.`

* There 8 targets at any given time.
* Completing a hunt will refresh it with another target.
* The duration of a hunt will vary in length depending on the rarity tier.
* The Pokecoins received from a hunt will vary depending on the rarity tier.

To start hunting, ensure you have the following:

* [A Poké Rod](https://wiki.cobblemon.com/index.php/Pok%C3%A9_Rod)
  * Poké Rods can be enchanted with Lure which affects the spawn pool of available Pokemon, and Luck of the Sea which increases the chance of a higher tier bucket (e.g. Uncommon, Rare, Ultra Rare)
* [A Fishing Nav](https://github.com/gatekeep06/cobblenav/wiki/1.-Recipes#fishingnav)
* [Poké Bait](https://wiki.cobblemon.com/index.php/Pok%C3%A9_Bait)

To figure out where to find your target, use **/pwiki** (Pokemon Name) to see their spawning conditions. Using Poké Bait is key to catching your target, as it can help reduce the pool specific to your target. See the [Seasoning](https://wiki.cobblemon.com/index.php/Seasoning#Bait_Seasoning) page for more information on what seasonings you can use. The most likely seasonings you will use is Golden Apples to increase the rarity bucket, and type and EV yield berries to focus the pool. To use the bait, you must equip it to your Poké Rod.

* Open your inventory
* Select the bait
* Right-click your rod with the bait

`Example: If your Fishing target is Bidoof - you would use a bait seasoned with Pomeg, Chilan, +1 other seasoning of your choice, to increase your odds of reeling up a Bidoof. Note that you will still need to fish in a location that spawns your target. You can do this by using your Fishing Nav.` You can click on the 'Toggle fishing checklist' in the /fhunts interface to enable a checklist overlay as you play. This checklist will update each time you complete a hunt or a hunt expires.
